Non-Custodial Ordinals DeFi Has Arrived
Follow along the journey of Deep Lake paving the way for trust-minimized, non-custodial DeFi on Bitcoin & Ordinals—featuring the launch of Liquidium!
It’s been an incredibly busy few weeks for Deep Lake and its customers.
While we’re working with developers & building out new use-cases with them, it’s becoming clear that Bitcoin—even with its complexities preventing fast development—is worth every ounce of effort to get right.
Keep scrolling for the announcement of Liquidium. But first, here’s where the market is in the state of Bitcoin development from our perspective.
Trends We’re Seeing
Out of the hundreds of applications that can be created directly on Bitcoin through Deep Lake’s Native Layer, we’re speaking with dozens of organizations building unique applications covering a wide range of the possibilities.
Top Use-Cases Deep Lake’s Enabling
Liquidity
The most basic of all the Bitcoin use-cases. DeFi apps, CeFi apps, and everything in between needs liquidity in their protocol or platform—whether that’s for lower slippage, better fees for the end-users, or any type of application that would need Proof of Bitcoin Reserve.Coin Control
This is a broad category, but as it turns out, the nuanced and immediately unintuitive Bitcoin properties that make it so sound, are also a developmental challenge everyone is being exposed to right now.Thankfully, the API suite we’ve been building since even before Ordinals have been so meticulously Bitcoin-centric, that Coin Control was considered and built-in right as all the dApps and builders started considering this something they need.
While Coin Control, UTXO management, and handling sats becomes more prominent, the tools to properly execute transactions with these properties in mind become more needed.
Ordinal DeFi (OrdFi)
This brings us to Ordinals—a massive market and one of the top 3 use-cases Deep Lake is being called to empower & enable.
While Liquidium successfully launched its Closed Beta, users and investors are becoming more aware of the dApps and underlying technology powering Ordinal DeFi.Coin Control, Liquidity, and all the other “features” that Deep Lake optimizes for are all utilized when it comes to OrdFi.
This positioning has proven invaluable in our pipeline as it becomes more obvious every day that while Bitcoin development is rewarding, it is extremely difficult to get right.
The Deep lake API Suite simplifies these processes—meaning we get easier access & ship on Bitcoin.
What’s Next?
If you’re a Bitcoiner, DeFi user, or Ordinal enjoyer, stay tuned because the industry is heating up and we’re only seeing a sliver of what’s in the pipeline regarding all the tools powering these industries.
